Bowling Battalion Bonding
Cadets from the entire battalion were able to bond over bowling on Saturday, September 3.
77th Anniversary of the End of WW II and 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway
A Ceremony commemorating the 77th Anniversary of the End of World War II and in remembrance of the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway was held aboard the USS Missouri on Friday, September 2.

Veterans of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) visited Punahou JROTC and talked to senior and junior cadets
Annual Punahou JROTC 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
Punahou JROTC hosted our annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Saturday, August 27th with nearly 25 boys and 12 girls teams from across the state. Congratulations to Punahou JROTC girls for winning First Place! And a special thanks to all the cadets who helped make this possible.

Punahou Convocation 2022

Color Guard at NASDVA
The Punahou School Color Guard presented the colors at the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs (NASDVA) annual training conference which was hosted in Honolulu, HI, August 14-17, 2022
JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC)
The course ran from June 6 to 9 with cadets staying overnight on the USS Missouri for the first night
They explored and learned about Ford Island, Pacific Aviation Museum, Barbers Point Coast Guard Air Station, Magic Island Coast Guard Naval Station, 154th Air Wing at Hickam, and 9th Mission Support Command at Fort Shafter

Roosevelt Raider Challenge
On October 15th, the Punahou Raider team competed in the Roosevelt challenge that consisted of swimming, rope bridge, obstacle course, 1.2 mile run and a circuit workout. The male team (Mati Durkin, Josh Dutton, Jon Kim, and Etienne Salle) placed 2nd place overall. The mixed team(Katie Awaya, Ciera Fujiwara, Mark Sabraw, and Brady Kaya) placed third overall. Good job Raider team.

On September 29th, the magnets got together in the quad to run their very first drill meeting.

June 8 Cadets completed the Obstacle Course (look for photos tomorrow!) and also learned how to use a map and compass to find land navigation points.

The legacy of the Nisei Veterans of World War II is honored each year at a ceremony at Punchbowl cemetery. Cadets assist Veterans organizations that lay wreaths in honor of the Nisei Veterans. Other cadets carried in fifty state flags or welcomed distinguished guests to the ceremony. All cadets listened to the guest speakers and reflected on the courage and sacrifice of these brave warriors.
