Special Teams

Air Rifle

CyberPatriot

We teach new cadets how to safely handle and fire an air rifle and also different techniques that are very useful to increase the chances of hitting the 10! Air riflery is a very fun and exciting sport and we would love to have you join our team.  Last year, we qualified to send five shooters to Western Regionals in Phoenix, AZ!
Practices normally on Friday after school.

CyberPatriot is a competition where you are asked to purge a Windows or Linux system of any potential threats (viruses, malware, etc.) and then configure it to prevent future compromise from threats.  The JROTC CyberPatriot team(s) learn and train alongside their Academy counterparts as a part of the CyberPUNs Cybersecurity team on campus.  Knowledge of computers is helpful, but not necessary.
Practices normally on Saturday morning.

Drill Team

Cadets learn army unit drill commands and teaching techniques at weekly practices. They train in unarmed, armed, armed exhibition, and color guard drill. Their training culminates in drill competitions throughout their year where they demonstrate drill command capability, execution, knowledge and discipline.
Practice dates vary.

Raiders

Raiders is the military equivalent to a high school sport. This special team is dedicated to developing cadets in the areas of physical fitness, tactical military skills, and teamwork. At weekly practices on Sat. morning, cadets train in areas including running, push-ups, rope bridge, and land navigation. Such skills will be tested at Raider events where teams of 4-6 compete against other schools.
Practices normally on Saturday Morning.

JLAB: Academic Team

Cadets are tested with SAT and ACT type questions in the areas of JROTC curriculum, English, Math, and Science. They then compete against other JROTC units around the nation to advance to the championship.
Contact LTC Takao if you are interested in applying.

JLAB: Leadership Team

The JLAB Leadership Team is formed with the purpose of reinforcing and developing a working knowledge of leadership principles and applications of said principles. The JLAB Leadership team should consist of cadets demonstrating outstanding leadership potential in the battalion from all LET levels.
Contact LTC Takao if you are interested in applying.

Archery

Is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students.  Students learn focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.  Practices will begin later in the spring.

Drones
